Mark McCain aka DJ InVerse brings a musician’s sensibility to the art of mixing. Prior to his life as a DJ, most of his time was spent behind a studio mixing console, producing and remixing music. In 1997, InVerse linked with Atlantic recording artist David Garza. The duo toured the United States, breaking ground with a DJ / Guitarist collabo that has been commercially duplicated many times since. The pair performed everywhere from LA’s Largo Club with Jon Brion to Portland’s Rose Garden and Dallas’ Bronco Bowl. After returning to Austin, InVerse set up shop remixing and writing music for commercial projects. His original compositions have been featured as in-house music for Nickels and Dimes’ 3-D motion simulator rides and as the best performing tracks in Roxor games ‘In the Groove.’ Now InVerse spends a good amount of time blending the music of others. His most recent production credits include the remix to Ter'ell Shahid's 'Don't Take It Personal,' which can be heard in our media player. When behind the turntables, his unique remixes of RnB acapellas, dancehall riddim instrumentals and hip hop instrumentals, brings a special vibe to dance floors. InVerse currently hosts Vegas Fridays at Red Fez in Austin, TX and Boom Boom Saturdays at Union Park in Austin, TX. He can also be heard playing with touring artists like DJ Jazzy Jeff, Lovebug Starski, or ?uestlove of the Roots at Scion’s Metro parties. |
